Immigration Evaluations
-
The fee for a clinical immigration evaluation starts at $950.
The fee is contingent on the complexity of the case, client needs within the evaluation process such as the need for an interpreter or additional interviews of other parties, and the timeframe in which the evaluation is needed.
The fee includes two clinical interviews (each lasting approximately two hours) and the comprehensive evaluation. The typical turnaround for an evaluation is two to three weeks after the final evaluation session is completed.

I do not offer therapy or coaching services to clients completing an Immigration Evaluation. This is due to ethical concerns related to engaging in a dual relationship with the client. I do provide therapy referrals to clients interested in engaging in therapeutic services at the completion of the evaluation process.

I must follow individual state licensure regulations concerning the practice of clinical social work and telehealth. Most states restrict practice, including remote practice, to social workers only providing services in the state(s) in which they are licensed, which are DC and VA. Furthermore, the client must be physically located in either DC or VA at the time of the evaluation.

I am currently connected to Alma, which allows clients under most Optum, Aetna and Cigna plans to utilize their health insurance benefits for therapy services. Please refer to my Alma profile for further information. If you are interested in using benefits from the plans listed above, you can contact me directly here or request a consultation through Alma. Outside of the insurances listed above, you would be considered a private pay client.
Regarding other health insurance plans, coverage depends entirely on your plan and whether or not you have out-of-network benefits.
Some insurance companies will partially reimburse you for costs related to therapy with out-of-network providers. While I require you to pay all fees upfront, I can provide you with a monthly ‘Superbill’ should you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance.
Prior to beginning treatment, I highly recommend you verify your out-of-network coverage. Some questions to explore when calling your insurance company:
Does my plan include coverage for out-of-network mental health services?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
What is my deductible for out-of-network services and has it been met?
Do I have a session limit?
What form(s) do I need to submit an invoice(s) in order to receive my out-of-network benefits?
Is teletherapy covered?
